AUGUSTUS, 27 B.C.- A.D. 14. Sestertius (26.56 gms), Rome Mint, A.D. 36-37.
RIC-(Tiberius) 68. Quadriga of elephants left, with mahouts pulling cart containing statue of Augustus radiate holding laurel branch and long scepter; Reverse: Legend around large "S C." Memorial issue struck during the reign of Tiberius. Absent of patina with light brown surfaces, overall good metal quality with better than normal details for this issue. A few small areas of encrustations. RARE.CHOICE VERY FINE-NEARLY EXTREMELY FINE
