NERO, A.D. 54-68. AE Sestertius (25.8 gms), Rome Mint, A.D. 64.
RIC-165. Laureate head of Nero right wearing aegis; Reverse: Nero on horseback left with mounted soldiers before and behind, "DECVRSIO" in exergue. Moderate, but largely uniform porosity. Nearly black, with flecks of olive patination. Old flake from the right obverse field. Nice detail.VERY FINE.
