RIC-167. Laureate head of Vitellius right; Reverse: Mars helmeted and in military dress with parazonium at his side advancing left holding Victory and trophy over shoulder. Struck on a large round planchet allowing for full legends. Bold well rendered portrait in high relief and of good artistic style. Moderate surfaces corrosion with deeper pits in areas, a few old scratches. Attractive deep brown patina with olive brown highlights.BOLD VERY FINE.
