RIC-159. Laureate bust of Vespasian right; Reverse: "IVDAEA CAPTA." Palm tree divides standing captive at right seated Judaea at right. An area of deep oxidation has effaced a small portion of the obverse legend, but it is clear and mostly sharp otherwise. Smoothed throughout, but still a respectable example of this Roman classic. Dark chestnut brown, area of green at the rim. An important and historic type necessary for any serious collection of Roman bronzes.VERY FINE.
