Gnecci-7, var., struck from dies with slightly different spacing. Laureate, draped bust of Antoninus Pius right; Reverse: Antoninus Pius standing right, at left, Africa relining at right, facing left caressing lion, Victory standing with shield at center in background. Pleasing light brown, with areas of green porosity. Flattened obverse areas at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock suggest a past mounting, likely in ancient times. VERY RARE and not present in the British Museum Collection.ALMOST VERY FINE.
