RIC-690(a). Laureate head of Septimius Severus right; Reverse: Two bound captives seated back to back at foot of trophy. This reverse type references Severus’s victories over the Arabs and the Adiabenians. Nicely centered on a well rounded planchet with full legends. Attractive deep brown surfaces with some darker tones. Very unusual, almost provincial style.VERY FINE.
