RIC-818. Laureate head of Septimius Severus right; Reverse:
Two Victories standing either side of palm tree attaching shield, at base of tree to either side, a seated captive.
Part of an extensive series of coins struck under Septimius commemorating his campaigns in Britain and Scotland. Struck on a large planchet allowing for full legends and design elements. Natural edge split, light to moderate surface corrosion, somewhat deeper in areas.FINE-VERY FINE.
