CELTIC, Lower Danube. Uncertain tribe. Circa 2nd century BC. Obol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.75 g, 6 h), imitating Alexander III or Philip III of Macedon. Celticized laureate head to right. Rev. Celticized Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right. Dembski -. Flesche -. Lanz -. OTA -. SLM -. Apparently unpublished, a very interesting issue. Light scratches on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
