Judaea, The Bar Kokhba War. Tetradrachm; Judaea, The Bar Kokhba War; Undated, attributed to Year 3, 134/5 CE, Tetradrachm/Sela, 14.27g. Hendin-1411, Mildenberg-83 (O12/R53, only 2 recorded). Obv: Façade of the Temple at Jerusalem; showbread table within, star above, "Shimon" in Hebrew at sides. Rx: Bundle of lulav; etrog to l., "For the Freedom of Jerusalem" in Hebrew around.Only two examples of this die combination were recorded by Mildenberg. It is a wonderful strike, especially on the beautifully complete reverse. Ex jewelry with small area on edge that shows some flatness. EF
