Republic 8 Reales 1864 Ho-PR UNC Details (Chopmarked) NGC, Hermosillo mint, KM377.9, DP-Ho05 (Very Rare to Extremely Rare). Considered by Dunigan and Parker to be "very rare" to "extremely rare", as the vast majority of this issue was sent to the Orient, the noted chopmark serving as a testament to this historical fact. The surfaces of the specimen radiate with a soft glow of underlying luster, veiled by a handsome silty tone. A desirable and elusive early date hailing from a popular mint, rarely found with significantly better technical preservation or appeal.
