Republic 8 Reales 1861 O-FR AU58 NGC, Oaxaca mint, KM377.11, DP-Oa05 (Rare). Variety with plain "O" mintmark. Well preserved with limited actual high-point wear and pleasant surface quality for this crude issue, the eagle side showing unusually sharp details while the obverse exhibits the usual mushy aspect from being struck with a rusty die. A very scarce date, rated as "rare" and "underrated" in Resplandores, and seldom seen in this pleasant quality.
