Republic 8 Reales 1867 Zs-JS VF Details (Chopmarked) NGC, Zacatecas mint, KM377.13 (Rare), DP-Za51 (Extremely Rare). Evenly circulated with a few essentially unobtrusive small chopmarks and the often seen handling marks at this level, a scattering of scratches noted for accuracy. The second rarest date of this mint after the uncollectible 1870 Zs-JS (1 or 2 extant) in typical - per Dunigan and Parker, the norm is "about Very Fine with a small number of tiny chopmarks... (with) only one nice example ... known"- yet not unattractive preservation. Very collectible as such, since reasonably detailed, and a coin that would be most difficult to significantly upgrade.
