'Abbasid, al-Mu'tadid, AH 279-289 / AD 892-902, gold fractional dinar for presentation (2.50g, 21mm). Without mint, dated AH 282, single margins and broad blank outer marginal space, lillah al-mu'tadid billah in obverse center, part of the kalima around, and amir al-mu'minin in reverse center with date around (always without mint name, though presumably struck at the capital, Madinat al-Salam), variant of type A-241a.
