People's Republic gold Proof "Vault Protector" 15 Ounce Medal ND (1989), Cheng-pg. 93, 4. 80mm. Mintage: 99. Style of Tang Dynasty. An immense gold medal struck in the likeness of an ancient ceremonial vault protector cash coin that was used to bestow good fortune and wealth to its owner. Very rare and cast to a total of only 99 examples. A rare opportunity thus, presented in a large-scale wooden display case, the medal housed in its original mint capsule with COA/card #95 included.
We note that any distortion in the photos is the result of photographing the medal through the vinyl packaging, and that the apparent 'scratch' on the reverse is on the vinyl, not the medal itself.
