Titus as Caesar. 70-79 AD. Dupondius, 12.82g. (6h). Rome, 72 AD. Obv: T CAESAR VESPASIAN IMP III PON TR POT II COS II Head radiate right. Rx: ROMA - VICTRIX S C Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory and spear; behind the cuirass, several shields and other captured arms. RIC 483 (R2, specimens in Stockholm and Arethusa 4, not illustrated). Cohen 193 corr. (Wiczay), whence BMC p. 146. A very rare obverse legend on dupondii. See the preceding lot, which is from the same obverse die. Excellent portrait. VF/Fine.
