Byzantine lead seal of N. (George?) Hexamilites, imperial spatharokandidate, protonotarios, krites and patrikios (11th cent.)
Obverse: Bust of Mother of God, facial, nimbate, wearing chiton and maphorion, her hands in praying posture, the usual sigla [ΜΡ-ΘΥ] (Mother of God), all within dotted border.
Reverse: Inscription in 6 lines partly surviving, [ΓΕΩ(ΡΓΙΩ)?]/R,CΠΑΘ,Κ/ΑΙΑ,ΝΟΤΑ[Ρ(ΙΩ)]/ΚΡΙΤ(Η)C[..]Λ,ΠΡΚ,ΤΩ/ΕΞΑΜ,Λ, = (Γεωργίῳ?) βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ πρωτονοταρίῳ, κριτῇ [..], πατρικίῳ τῷ Ἑξαμιλίτῃ (George? imperial spatharios and protonotarios, krites, [..], patrikios the Hexamilites), all within dotted border.
