Attica, Athens. Silver Tetradrachm (16.44 g), ca. 168/5-42 BC. New Style issue. Ca. 119/8 BC. Dionysi…, Dionysi…, and Aiski…, magistrates. Head of Athena right, wearing triple crested Attic helmet decorated with Pegasos springing right. Reverse: A-ΘE, owl standing right, head facing, on overturned amphora; across field, magistrates' names: ΔIO-NYΣI, ΔIO/NYΣI and AIΣ/KI; in right field, Helios in facing quadriga; uncertain letters on amphora and below; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 569g, 571f and g, amd 573a; HGC 4, 1602. Lightly toned. Very Fine. Estimated Value $250 - UP
