Sasanian Kingdom. Varhran I. Silver Drachm (3.87 g), AD 273-276. Bust of Varhran I right, wearing diadem and radiate crown with korymbos; trefoil of pellets behind crown. Reverse: Fire altar; flanked by two attendants, the one on the left wearing crown with korymbos, the other with radiate crown; pellet-inverted crescent-pellet on tier of altar. SNS type Ib/2B; Göbl type I/1. Slightly wavy flan, a couple of marks, most prominent on the reverse. Lightly toned. Very Fine. Estimated Value $150 - UP
