Palestine, Complete Set of Mikveh Israel Tokens, c. 1885. Includes brass 1/4, 1/2 and 1 units. Issued by the Jewish agricultural school established by the Alliance Israelite Universelle, whose initials "AIU" are on the reverse of each token. A group consisting of two 1's, 1/2 and a holed 1/4. Sold by Kedem Auction House for over $10,000! This set is far nicer with the 1/4 is being Almost Unc; the 1/2 and 1 are each Very Fine. Very Rare. Estimated Value $2,000 - UP
