Palestine and Israel Trade Coins in Albums, including some Important Rarities. The whole megillah includes each year of the Palestine Mandate 1927-1946 (missing only the 1942 5 Mils), avg. VF -EF; Israel 1948-1957, all Uncirculated (contains the rare and valuable 1948 25 Mils, 1948 25 Mils with Open Link, and 1948 25 Mils Uniface); Israel Agorot-Pound Series I 1960-1968 (including all varieties such as 1963 1 Agora with inverted reverse), all Brilliant Uncirculated; and Israel Agorot-Pound Series II 1969-1975, all Brilliant Uncirculated. Sylvia Haffner relates how "Some sources state that [the uniface 25 Mils strikes] were struck through an error when the guards had removed one die during lunch time and failed to replace it when production started up again." This is a treasure! It would be a monumental task to assemble all of these coins today. Should be seen to be fully appreciated. In 2012, Heritage sold just a complete date set of circulated Palestine coins for $1,750. Lot of 4 collections. Estimated Value $2,000 - UP
