As the highest denomination of the series and the final King George VI £5 variety, only a small number of these notes exist in the collector market today. Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company records indicate that 350,000 of these notes were issued. The vast majority were redeemed from 1953 until decimalization was introduced in 1970.
