Often encountered in Very Fine grade, this type is heightened in the better grades, as all design elements become more clearly visible and therefore enjoyable. The lion and Mount Kilimanjaro design at back is on full display. 1st January 1952 is seen on this example, which is the final date for the series. In fact, King George VI passed away the following month, while the then-Princess Elizabeth was in Kenya during a Commonwealth tour.
