Iran Bank Melli 1000 Rials ND (1934) / AH1313 Pick 30bs Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. An attractive Specimen representing the highest denomination of the 1934 issue, examples of this type are rather scarce in issued form. Representing the variety with both signatures in Farsi, it features a dark green on multicolor face with three-quarter facing portrait of Shah Reza on the right and a vignette of Darius the Great, a warrior-king, killing a mythical lion creature on the left. The green back displays a mythical figure at center, perhaps another representation of Darius, flanked above left and right by coat of arms.
