New Zealand Reserve Bank of New Zealand 50 Pounds ND (1940-55) Pick 162a PMG Choice Very Fine 35. One of the South Pacific's most iconic banknotes, examples are very rare in any grade. While the final batch of Fleming signature notes were sold by the Reverse Bank after decimalization, the 1940 Hanna notes are few and far between. In fact, we have not offered this type since 2014. Between 1940 and 1958, only 299,000 notes were issued. Due to the enormous spending power of the £50 note, only a few examples are extant today.
