Peru Republica Del Peru 500 Soles 30.6.1879 Pick 10 PMG Very Fine 20 Net. As the highest denomination of the 1879 series, very few 500 Soles are known to exist in issued form today. At the time of cataloging, only five examples have been graded in the PMG Population Report. Because of the high face value of this denomination, only a limited number were prepared, hence the small serial number. Tape repairs have been executed to fortify the paper on this 19th-century type.
