A note from BCD: The Winterthur cabinet owes a great deal of gratitude to Hansjörg Bloesch and his devoted wife. Throughout their active lives, they served a two-fold cause: Enriching the collection and taking care of the numismatic enquiries of visitors. This writer will never forget the kindness and courtesy shown to a young collector, unknown to them, appearing out of the blue and requesting to view rare coins.
