A note from BCD: Today we may smile reading the chatty language with which the Reverend Greenwell described his superb archaic coins, but that was more than 120 years ago and times change, perhaps not for the better some may say. There are great rarities illustrated in these four plates and it is a pity that the Greenwell collection was never independently published.
