A note from BCD: It is not often that a 300-year-old book is in such attractive condition that it becomes a real pleasure to go through it, page by page, and mentally return to the days when Greek coins were still a wonderful mystery, for both the masses and the "dilettanti". Matching some of the charming engravings to coins with changed attributions could be a test for the reader's depth of knowledge.
