MONOGRAPHS
Seltman, Charles T. The Temple Coins of Olympia. Reprinted from Nomisma VIII, IX, XI. Forward by Sir William Ridgeway. Cambridge 1921. Large 8vo (19x24.5cm), 117 pages of text with printed heavy paper covers, plus 12 individual plates (21.5x28cm), as issued. Text and plates housed in specially made grey linen box with two interior pockets to hold plates to one side, text to the other; black spine label, gilt letters. Some discolouration to edges of text. Very Good. CS 2565, Daehn 4373

A note from BCD: It has been written in a learned numismatic periodical that this was the first die study ever done. It will soon be a century old but it is still read – and used - with pleasure mixed with admiration. To this, Seltman's talent played no small part, his ability to choose a sensational subject notwithstanding.
