MONOGRAPHS
Florange, J. & L. Ciani. Paris, 3 July 1925. Médailles, Monnaies et Antiquités appartenant à Divers Amateurs. 99 lots, 8 pages, 1 plate, handwritten prices and names, plus photocopy of prices realized list, additional blank leaves bound in. (20x26cm), new red imitation leather, black spine letters. Interleaved copy with notations. Recent dealer's stamp, damp stains to bottom of pages. Good.
A note from BCD: This interleaved catalogue probably belonged to someone with a direct interest in the sale. Names of buyers and prices are rather hurriedly entered but it nevertheless becomes clear that, in the 1920's Paris market, fine quality Greek coins were not very popular in comparison to other numismatic items like medals.
