A note from BCD: The Serrure company was active during the last part of the 19th and the early part of the 20th centuries, producing a large number of catalogues that for some reason are very hard to find today. Fine antiquities were sometimes sold with ancient coins of notable quality or rarity and the firm also specialized in rare French coins and medals.
