MONOGRAPHS
Tkalec, Münzauktion. Zurich, 26 March 1991. 564 lots, 174 unnumbered pages including 3 plates of enlargements, black & white photos throughout, photocopy of prices realized list. (20x26cm), illustrated cream glossy card covers as issued. Shelf wear, corners bumped. Very Good.
A note from BCD: Toni always preferred Roman coins and that is why when he picked a Greek coin for his sale it was exceptional. Lot 45, the Tanit (or Dido) Carthaginian tetradrachm that soared from an estimate of CHF 65000 to CHF 115000 is a good example of this policy. Here, in his first Zurich sale, the enlargements are interspersed among the individual catalogue entries of over 560 choice ancient coins.
