KINGS of PERGAMON. Eumenes II. 197-158 BC. AR Tetradrachm (30.5mm, 16.92 g, 12h). In the name of Philetairos. Pergamon mint. Struck circa 180-159 BC. Laureate head of Philetairos right / Athena enthroned left, holding wreath, elbow resting on shield to right; spear behind, thyrsos to outer left, ΔI to inner left, bow to right. Westermark Group VII, obv. die CLII; SNG BN –; BMC 53 var. (control mark to inner left). Toned, with some iridescence, traces of find patina. Good VF. Rare.
