WEST FRIESLAND: Dutch Republic, AR 2 stuivers, 1715-1794, KM-106.2, LOT of 466 silver coins, average circulated quality, retail value $3400, lot of 466 coins. The Dutch mints produced small silver coins intended for domestic circulation (standpenningen). In the 17th and 18th centuries the smallest of these coins were the 1 and 2 stuiver coins. These were used for making weekend wage payments, paying house rents, and buying clothing and food.
