GANJA: Muhammad Hasan Khan, 1760-1780, AR abbasi (3.41g), Ganja, AH1188, A-A2944, Zand couplet obverse, reduced weight standard, used from late 1187 until some time in 1188, VF to EF, RR. During this reign, the abbasi standard was about 4.6g during the years 1174-1181, then 3.8g for a new type 1181-1187, then briefly 3.4g for the same type briefly 1187-1188, finally to about 3.1g for a slightly different version of the same basic type 1188-1189, retained for the completely new "ya saheb oz-zaman" 1189-1195. The khanate of Shemakha (Shirvan) followed almost identical weight standards adjusted in the same years as at Ganja.
