GIRAY KHANS:LOT of 15 beshliks and 4 akçes, in flips, identified by the consignor, but only a few with legible date: Safa I, 1691-1692 (3 beshliks and 2 akçes; Selim I, 3rd reign, 1692-1699 (2 beshliks and 1 akçe); Dawlat II, 2nd reign, 1699-1702 (4 beshliks and 1 akçe); Selim I, 4th reign, 1702-1704 (2 beshliks); Ghazi III, 1704-1707 (1 beshlik); and Qaplan I, 1st reign (3 beshliks); mostly VG-VF condition, typical strikes, with the usual weakness; retail value $630; lot of 19 pieces, ex Jim Farr Collection. The akçes from the late 17th and throughout the 18th century are much rarer than the beshliks.
