(g) Victoria (1837-1901), Sovereign, 1838, London, small young head left, raised W.W. on truncation, rev. crowned 'normal' shield in wreath, edge milled, 8.00g, 6h (Murdoch III, 464[a]; King -; Bentley 36; Marsh 22; MCE 499; Spink 3852), a beautiful example with satin-like surfaces, a hint of die wear to highest points otherwise choice mint state, the key date of series, very rare in this condition.
