William III (1694-1702), 'Fine-Work' Two-Guineas, 1701, laureate head right, no stop after GRA, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned ornamental sceptres in angles, edge obliquely milled, 16.78g, 6h (Schneider II, 482; MCE 173; Spink 3457), an utterly sumptuous coin with arresting pools of mint brilliance, good extremely fine, in all probability amongst the finest extant.
