George I (1714-1727), Two-Guineas, 1726, laureate head right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, edge obliquely milled, 8.27g, 5h (Murdoch II, 8; Waterbird 18; Schneider II, 543; MCE 244; Spink 3627), attractive mint bloom, and much as struck, an exceptional survivor, superior even to the remarkable Waterbird example and with a solid pedigree.
