George I (1714-1727), Half-Guinea, 1725, second laureate head right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, edge obliquely milled, 4.14g, 6h (Murdoch III, 17[a]; King 158; Schneider II, 553; MCE 274; Spink 3637), a large die split before face possibly exacerbated by the 'damaged obverse die', otherwise toned with reddish-purple hues, about very fine.
