Hardaker Collection, Foreign Coins, Ancient India, Malwa, Kathiawad (Northern Gujarat), uninscribed die-struck coin of post- Mauryan period, c.200-100 BC, six-armed symbol, taurine-headed standard and a standing human figure, rev: swastika with taurine-ended arms, wt. 1.88gms.; Kunindas, monarchical issue, attributed to Amoghabhuti, but most likely struck posthumously in his name, c.1st century AD, deer facing r., a figure of goddess Lakshmi to the right; traces of Brahmi legend around, rev. symbolic configuration with six-arched hill in centre, tree in railing to r., triangle-headed standard to l., wavy line below, wt. 3.15gms.; Kushans, imitative coins from Haryana/Himachal Pradesh area, modelled on types of Huvishka (c.AD 152-180), king riding elephant (TH.11), king seated cross-legged (TH.12), rev. stylized representation of Sun/Moon gods; Vidisha region, uninscribed punch-marked copper coin of post- Mauryan period, c.250-150 BC, with 'lotus' mark, attributed most likely to the area west of the Bes - Betwa confluence, four punches: tree-in-railing; 'Ujjain' symbol; semi-circular tank with taurines above; ornate lotus bloom, rev. blank, wt. 4.42gms., with 16 other ancient coins, including Satavahanas, about fine to very fine (20)
