Denmark. Svend Estridsen. 1047-1075. AR penning (16mm, 0.53g). West Danish mint(?). +DГDI+DCCГDГDII, draped bust left; crozier before / +ICIIIIICIIIIIIDI, voided short cross, trefoil of pellets in angle. Hauberg attributed this coin to Lund based on one example which reverse read +IADRIF ON LVNDL (1.20g). However, the present specimen and others have much lower weight which indicates a different mint in West Denmark, most likely Viborg but Aalborg or Aarhus could also be possible. See K.
