Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (18.5mm, 3.74 g, 6h). Uncertain Spanish mint (Colonia Patricia?). Struck circa 19 BC. CAESAR AVGVSTVS, bare head right / IOV TON across field, hexastyle temple set on podium of three steps; Jupiter standing left within, holding thunderbolt and scepter. Cf. RIC I 63a (aureus); RSC 179. Iridescent tone, traces of die rust on obverse, scratch and some faint hairlines on reverse, thin flan crack. Good VF.
