IRELAND. John. As King, 1199-1216. AR Penny (19mm, 1.43 g, 12h). Third ('Rex') coinage. Dublin mint; Roberd, moenyer. Struck circa 1207-1211. Crowned facing bust, holding cruciform scepter; rosette to right; all within triangle / Pinwheel (sun) within crescent moon; three stars around; all within triangle; three crosses pattée around legend. SCBC 6228. Toned, some weakness in portrait, a few faint scratches. VF.
