IRELAND. John. As King, 1199-1216. AR Penny (18mm, 1.30 g, 5h). Third ('Rex') coinage. Dublin mint; Roberd, moenyer. Struck circa 1207-1211. Crowned facing bust, holding cruciform scepter; rosette to right; all within triangle / Pinwheel (sun) within crescent moon; three stars around; all within triangle; three crosses pattée around legend. SCBC 6228. Toned, slightly off center. VF.
