Ex. Sincona auction 23, 19 may 2015, lot 2780.//Magnificent patina and of exceptional quality. This medal marks the political will of Umberto I to establish the legitimacy of the Savoy dynasty to the throne of Italy. He chose for this occasion to take the title with the symbol of Umberto I ° of Italy and not that of Umberto IV of Savoy. By this gesture he wanted to consolidate the unity of the kingdom around himself and the house of Savoy.
