GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Dollar, 1909-B. Bombay Mint. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield.
KM-T5; Mars-BTD1; Prid-19. A lovely example with light attractive sunset hued tone in the peripheries primarily contained to the outer devices. The satiny surfaces show minor evidence of handling consistent for the grade of this near Gem survivor with cartwheel luster that accents the frosty devices. Interesting to note that both the obverse and reverse display a short thin crack each, at 9 on the obverse in an upward direction through the Greek border terminating at that near the solid inner border. While the reverse displays a well hidden vertical crack at 6 through the Greek border terminating midway between the bead just above the vertical portion of the outer border and the solid inner border. Another interesting example of the date struck with different dies than the PCGS MS-64+ also in this sale that show several long cracks.
Estimate: $900.00- $1200.00
