GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Dollar, 1911-B. Bombay Mint. PCGS MS-64+ Gold Shield.
KM-T5; Mars-BTD1; Prid-21. A bright and lustrous near Gem survivor exhibiting a bold strike with satiny surfaces and frosty devices. Several thin faint die cracks are noticed on both sides adding another level of sophistication this is heavily collected series. The most prominent of the die cracks can be seen on the obverse at 11 o'clock in the field extending from the Greek border to the tip of Britannia's helmet. While a second less obvious crack can be seen at the front of the ship in a downward angle under Britannia's feet terminating at the edge at about 5 just before the denticles. The reverse displays one long thin horizontal crack from 1 o'clock to 11 o'clock of the beaded border. This flashy example displays light signs of handling consistent for the grade with several interesting characteristics certain to excite specialist of Trade Dollars.
