KOREA. White-Metal 5 Niang Pattern, Year 495 (1886). Yi Hyong (Kojong). PCGS Genuine--Corrosion Removed, AU Details Gold Shield.
KM-Pn16; K&C-24.2; Da Guang Se-13-8. Tai Guk Design, Test Coin for the first modern machine struck coinage series of Korea. An EXTREMELY RARE issue with few example known that seldom appear on the market. Signs of minor to heavy corrosion on the reverse accounting for the details designation, but nearly complete design features remain intact. Despite its shortcomings an affordable example of these generally tough to locate series always highly sought after.
