Hartill-3.470; DCD-285; FD-289. Obverse: "Pei Bi Dan Jin" (Pei coin equivalent to a Jin) in seal script; Reverse: "Shi Huo" (Ten huo). A nicely preserved example of the SCARCE large flat handle square foot spade displaying an attractive rich mottled brown patina with a lovely green patination scattered in the open fields and protected areas. Minor earthen deposits are noticed near the edges adding to its originality. A type that seldom appears in today's market certain to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
